Atlas Rug Guide is glad to hear from readers. Questions about a guide, corrections, and flat disagreements are all welcome — under the Editorial Policy, errors here get fixed, and a reader who takes the trouble to point one out is doing this site a favour.
How to reach the site
Email is the way: sharif@atlasrugguide.com. It reaches me directly — I run this site myself, so whatever you send, I’m the one who reads it. Replies won’t always be quick, but they’re mine, not a template.
If you’re flagging an error, a link to the page and a line about what’s wrong is all I need to look into it.
What to include
It helps to get to the point.
- Reporting an error? Link the guide, quote the passage, and say what is wrong. A source is very welcome.
- Question about buying a rug? Say what you are looking at, roughly what you want to spend, the room it is for, and what is bothering you. Note that this site cannot appraise or authenticate a specific rug — the Disclaimer explains why, and who to ask instead.
- A seller or a brand? Say so plainly. Coverage cannot be bought here — see the Editorial Policy and the Affiliate Disclosure — but a straight, well-made pitch gets read.
- Press, or permission to reproduce something? Say what you want to use and where it will appear.
What this site cannot help with
- Valuations, appraisals, and authenticity verdicts on a specific rug. This is not a brush-off. It is that these cannot be done honestly from photographs, whoever is looking at them. The Disclaimer explains what to do instead.
- Disputes with a seller. Atlas Rug Guide is not a party to your purchase and holds no influence over any dealer or marketplace.
What happens to your message
Whatever you send is used to answer you, and for nothing else. It is not added to a mailing list — there isn’t one — and it is not passed on to anyone.
